Ridgway Method Physiotherapist

For Our Sports Medicine Clinic
Position - Bacchus Marsh Clinic

Immediate Start , Build Your Case Load $85-155K p.a

Suitable applicants will be New Graduates, Experienced Physiotherapists with Ridgway Method Training only.

Candidates who have completed the Ridgway Method Level 1 will be preferred.

Successful applicants will receive:

  • Upwards of $4000 in the 1st year of employment in Professional Development towards your Ridgway Method (RM) training*

  • The opportunity to apply for a scholarship to obtain their Masters in Sports Physiotherapy or Manipulative Physiotherapy whilst working with Vigor **.
    (This will be paid for by Vigor Sports Medicine Clinics - totalling about $30,000).

    *Includes 28 hours training RM inhouse and Level 2 Ridgway Method Course.
    Successful applicants will bonded to Vigor Sports Med Clinics for 2 years (pro rata) at the commencement of Level 2 Ridgway Method Course.

    ** Eligible only after 2 years of full time employment.

My name is Kusal Goonewardena and I'm the Chief Physiotherapist at Vigor Sports Medicine Clinics.

Okay, right now I'm going to tell you a little bit about the position and what you'll be doing, and then if you're interested in working with us, I'll get you to e-mail me with your Personal Particulars and Curriculum Vitae.

Firstly about our business...

The Vigor Sports Medicine Clinics are well established Physiotherapy Clinics known for providing great Physiotherapy services for its Sports, Orthopaedic, Geriatric, Pediatric and Chronic pain patients throughout Melton and Bacchus Marsh.

Currently we have 6 Physiotherapy staff and 6 Reception staff across the 2 clinics.

We're growing fast and we're looking for you to help us so we can continue to prosper.

Next your position...

You'll be involved in all aspects of Physiotherapy and patient/client care.

You also must be able to work on your own, and within a team environment.

The Facilities that You will be provided with and will have at Your disposal are...

  • An onsite Gym and Pilate's Studio (Melton Clinic)
  • An onsite Hydrotherapy Pool (Bacchus Marsh Clinic)
  • Three private Clinical Rooms at each site
  • We also have a Professional Development Program with monthly In Services that incorporates local doctors, specialists, difficult case scenarios and review of up-to-date treatment techniques.

So we're looking for some physio 'guns' to come in and join us in the fun and the work of growing our clinics.

The Work Hours will be...

All weekdays including 2 evening sessions per week. and alternate Saturday morning shifts

Total Hours: 38 hours

 

If you would like to join our team as a Physio there are two remuneration options available for you:

Option 1: Join as an employee and get paid a salary. This will be 40% of Patient Earnings (including Superannuation)

Option 2: If you have your own ABN, you can be paid in the capacity of a sub-contractor (40% + GST).

And of course once you've started you'll have a 3 month probationary period for you to get to know us, and for us to get to know you.

We follow a 4 Tier Fee Structure For Our Clients

Tier 1: Ridgway Method Trained Physiotherapist ( incl. New Graduates)

  • Consultations $71

Tier 2: RM Course/Competency Achieved Physiotherapist

  • Consultations $81

Tier 3: RM Titled Physiotherapists (Masters Completed)

  • Consultations $98

Tier 4: RM Consultant Physiotherapist (F.A.C.P or Equivalent)

  • Consultations $189

All Appts 30-60 min. New graduates will begin at 60 minutes.

Perks...Holiday Pay...And Extras

  • There will be an offer for 4 Weeks Holiday Pay. Payable after 12 months of work.
  • Earn for items you give your patients: 10% of Fees generated when you sell goods (tape, braces, linaments, thera-tube, tubigrip etc) will be paid to you on top of your commission.

New Graduate Program/Professional Development

  • In your 1st year you will receive around $4000 which will go towards your RM training and Ridgway Method Level 2 course*

  • After the 2nd year you will be given the opportunity to apply for a scholarship to complete your Masters in Sports Physiotherapy or Masters in Manipulative Physiotherapy** whilst working - all paid for by Vigor Sports Medicine Clinics.

    * and ** : Conditions apply.

  • In-House PD will also occur weekly (This will be with Kusal Goonewardena, APA Sports Physiotherapist)- this will include patient discussions, case studies, research topics and latest treatment techniques.

  • Full staff inservices which brings together all the Physiotherapists will also occur every month.

  • You are a Good Physio!
  • Willing to learn an upto date treatment technique... The Ridgway Method.
  • Excellent Adaptation Skills to incorporate your level of Experience and Treatment Techniques to our Clinical Pathways for various conditions. This simply means that you have to learn the way we treat patients.
  • Excellent Communication Skills
  • Excellent Problem Solving Skills
